IFS Laboratories Ltd was founded by in 2001, primarily as a Flammability and Physical Testing Laboratory of upholstered furniture and textiles materials. Founders and Directors, Zeb Alam and Karen Brooks, have both worked in laboratory testing for over 30 years. With combined experience in Financial Management, Business development and Analytical Chemistry it is their entrepreneurial spirit behind the recent changes taking the company in a different direction and forwards into new markets.

Training and investment in new bespoke equipment for objective testing of electronic cigarette products means the team at IFS can move into an area of scientific analytics they are passionate about.

IFS are now able to provide the Vaping Industry and producers of e-cigarettes with independent testing services, utilising the technical competence and knowledge of their highly trained employees.

IFS has the laboratory testing experience and specialised knowledge of Operational/Quality Management to help producers to manage their production and achieve Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) Compliance.
